Dato Dr David Koh / Executive Chairman
Dato Dr David Koh graduated from the University of New South Wales, Australia with a Bachelor of Science. He was a lecturer at Taylor’s College before moving into property development and since 1979, he has been the Managing Director of KLS Properties Sdn Bhd, a developer of townships, residential houses, condominiums, shop offices and industrial factories. He was conferred Datoship in 1990 by HM Sultan of Selangor. For his contribution to the University of New South Wales Alumni Chapter as President (1999-2007), he was honored with a Doctor of Science Honoris Causa in 2004 by the University.
Dato Dr David Koh is also the Chairman of the Distinctive Group who has won the Property Insight Prestigious Developer Awards 2018 for Outstanding Developer – Southern. He has recently added 1 Tebrau @ Johor Bahru and Iskandar Residences to his long list of accomplishments.
Edwin Koh / Director
Edwin Koh, joined the Board of Distinctive Group in 2019. He graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Commerce (1st Class Honours in Finance) from the University of Melbourne.
Edwin started his career at Distinctive as a manager (Project, Sales & Marketing) in 2013. As an innovator with entrepreneurial acumen, Edwin was part of the successful launches of Distinctive’s key projects in Johor, 1Tebrau and Iskandar Residences. He also played an instrumental role in Distinctive Group receiving Property Insight’s Prestigious Developer Award 2018 (Outstanding Developer Southern), Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards 2018 (Property Excellence Award) and Star Property Awards (Jewels of Johor) 2018 (Best High Rise Development & Best Family Centric Development), elevating the brand of the group.
Other than Distinctive, Edwin is involved in multiple industries including technology, events, food and beverage. He was co-founder of the online group buying platform I Love Discounts which successfully divested in 2013. He is also the co-founder of popular restaurants Breakfast Thieves and Snitch by the Thieves and a director in the Livescape Group, an event company known for its signature event “It’s the Ship”.
